Star Bears
In the night sky, where the stars rise in colorful garlands and the bright moon shines, live star bear cubs.
During the day they are sound asleep in their soft cots curled up in a ball. So similar they are to their earthly relatives! But at night, when the bright moon began to emerge into the night sky, they opened their eyes, washed themselves well and preened themselves.
And the star bees happily served them star honey. When the cubs finished their delicacy, they ran to their path of stars, climbed their personal mound of stars - and observed the extraordinary starry sky.
Each bear lived in different constellations in remote corners of the galaxy and did not see other places. They admired the sight of flying comets and asteroids, admired the planets, amused themselves by playing games with moon bunnies and star bees. With friends who were around. And the cubs were never bored and always had fun. But still, when each of them looked at distant and unknown places, they experienced an incomprehensible excitement.
Umi asked herself: "I wonder if there is someone in that distant constellation?"
Ugo asked: "How can I be the only star bear cub, if there are so many places around?"
Uni dreamed: "How nice it would be to see among these stars at least someone who would be like me ..."
Ups was sad: "Without a doubt, star bees and moon bunnies are good friends, but why do I sometimes feel so lonely?"
Uli made the decision: “I want to become a star traveler! All is left is to grow up a little! "
This is how each of the cubs wanted to go to distant lands, but it was difficult and scary to decide to leave their home. And their mothers also talked them out of it. After all, they are just small star cubs, and there are so many threats around ... Look, if you lose your vigilance, you will immediately become a hostage of a terrible black hole.
One day Umi, after playing enough with her celestial friends, ran to her starry hill. She wanted to admire the view, but this time she exclaimed at what she saw.
It appeared to her that one star, which became much brighter, suddenly winked at her!
Umi thought, "It definitely can't be." And to calm herself, she closed her eyes tightly, shook her head and looked at that star again.
And what do you think happened?
You're right: the star winked at her again.
Amazed and delighted, she began to look closely at the bright star and all the stars around and saw ... a bear cub!
From the gorgeous sky, a small constellation winked at Umi with its bright star!
And not far from him, as if the defender of her perky child, the Big Mother Bear (Big Dipper) was smiling tenderly.
"Wow! Thought Umi. - It's the Big and Little Dipper. They are very similar to my mother and me: Umi and Uma! Oh, how I want to get to know them. How I want to have fun with that little bear. "
And the star, as if calling Umi, winked at her again.
This time she finally made up her mind: “It is very close ... And the bright light of the star will not allow me to go astray. I will quickly run to that little bear cub, get to know him, and will immediately return back home. "
But the journey took longer than Umi expected. Despite her weariness and shyness, she kept walking. She was insanely curious!
When she passed a series of celestial nebula and almost reached the constellation, she suddenly heard:
- Oh!
- Is anyone here? Umi asked warily.
- Who are you? Someone asked in a frightened voice.
- I am Umi. - she said hesitantly and added: I am a Star Bear!
- Wow ... I'm a bear too. And my name is Ups.
- And my name is Uni! - there was a cheerful voice.
- Are you a bear too? Umi asked in surprise.
- Yes.
- I am a bear too, - a funny bear appeared, in a beautiful hat. - My name is Ugo.
- Is there anyone else here?
“I…” said a little bear with a bow on her head uncertainly. – Uli.
- How did you all get here? – asked Ups in a large mohair scarf.
- I saw a little bear ... He called me. - said Umi.
- Me too.
- And me.
- The bear winked at me ...
- He also invited me to play with him, - Uni said. - I have long wanted to meet at least one bear cub. And I found not one, but all of you!
- This is great! - Ugo cried out delightedly. - Now let's race to the star! The one that blinked to all of us! - And ran with all his might forward.
The rest of the star cubs hurried after him. They were ridiculously overtaking each other, rolling over and sliding down the stellar hills.
- So much fun! Incredible! - their happy voices bounced off the slides.
An old comet flew across the starry sky.
“Wow,” she said cheerfully. - Previously there was only one bear cub, but now you can't even count them!
The Big Bear (Big Dipper) answered with a smile:
- Little friends came to play.
- Guests and friends, that’s always very good. I'm heading to my friend too ...
And the venerable comet continued on its way.
